3.2 Principle of operation
VEGABAR 52 - climate compensated is a pressure transmitter for use
in the paper and food processing industries as well as in water/waste
waterapplicationsunderdicultconditions(coldmediumandwarm,
humid environment).
Depending on the version, the pressure transmitter is used for meas-
urement of level, gauge pressure or vacuum. Measured products
are gases, vapours and liquids, including those containing abrasive
substances.
The sensor element is an encapsulated CERTEC
®
absolute pressure
measuringcellwithrobust,front-ush(dependingontheprocess
tting),abrasionresistantceramicdiaphragm.Theprocesspressure
causes a capacitance change in the measuring cell via the ceramic
