7 Set up with the display and adjustment module

Information:

Inthisoperatinginstructionsmanual,theinstrument-specicparam-

eters are described. Further general parameters are described in the

operating instructions manual "Display and adjustment module".

Caution:

Duringtherstsetuporafteraninstrumentresettheinstrumentstarts

with preset standard values. These value are not suitable for your ap-

plication and must be replaced by real values.

Carry out a setup in the sequence described in the following.

With this menu item you safeguard the sensor parameters against

unauthorizedorunintentionalmodications.

To avoid possible errors during parameterization in a non-safe user

environment,avericationprocedureisusedthatmakesitpossible

to detect parameterization errors reliably. For this, safety-relevant

parametersmustbeveriedbeforetheyarestoredinthedevice.In

normal operating condition, the instrument is also locked against

parameter changes through unauthorized access.

For this reason, the instrument is shipped in locked conditon. The PIN

in the delivery status is "0000".

Afterachange,allsafety-relevantparametersmustbeveried.For

this purpose, a character string comparison must be carried out. This

is used to check the character respresentation and the communica-

tion channels.

Conrmifthetwocharacterstringsareidentical.Thevericationtexts

are provided in German and with all other menu languages in English.

Inasecondstep,allmodiedsafety-relevantparametersarelisted.

Conrmthemodiedvalues.

If the described process of parameter adjustment was run through

completely and correctly, the instrument will be locked and hence

ready for operation.
